I heard a broadcast on NPR about all the memorabilia. The problem with it is that there are HUGE quantities of collectibles regarding Obama's election. Plates, cups, coins, flags, posters, newspapers, etc. All easily available. The number of people collecting them and hold some tangible value to, is quite few. If it means something to you, hang on to it, put it in an acid-free plastic box or something similar. If it doesn't, put it up on your mantle for a bit, then when you get tired of looking at it, either sell it on eBay or discard it.
