We see tribute vehicles come and go. Most of the lot are slaves to every last
detail of the original, offering little more than a few engine upgrades to the
mix. Then there are beasts like the one above. Built as an homage to Parnelli
Jones' 1971 "Big Oly" Ford Bronco Baja 1,000 bruiser, this machine uses a
modern trophy truck chassis wrapped in larger-than life fiberglass first-
generation Bronco body. With 723 horsepower on tap, the truck is fully capable
of bashing the desert into submission. Owner Marshall Mardruga originally
built the machine to tackle the Baja 1,000, but decided to turn it into a show
truck instead.
Every visible component was then plated in brass or nickel and protected with
a clear powder coat in preparation for SEMA 2011. If you like what you see,

Question about acoustic strings for a steel string guitar. (shortened to exclude the FYIO part)?
Has anyone experienced playing with such Nickel wrapped Fender strings on an accoustic using a light gage - 1st string is .012 thickness. Do you recommend them - why or why not versus the other three types. Lastly, is there a difference between stainless steel and high carbon steel - or can they be the same - there are just different grades based on the carbon content? Or is D'Addario using some proprietary steel wire which doesn't meet the definition of stainless steel? Thank you for your thoughtful insights to add to this discussion. Oh, is there a device other than a digital tuner which tunes to pitch which allows you to detect differences in tone and brightness if you are "tone deaf", if so what is it called, or if there is a way to use a digital tuner to detect this please explain if you understand my question. It is valid as that is why they have four different types of strings besides making them to last longer and just feel better.

You are over-thinking and over-analyzing this issue. Keep trying different strings until you find the ones you like best. Among other things, not all strings sound great on a given guitar. You might own two different acoustic guitars (I own five, as it happens) and the best strings for one of the two guitars might sound like crap on the other one.
The best tuner by far for an acoustic guitar is a clip-on tuner like the IntelliTouch. It tunes by vibrations, not sound, so it's dead-on accurate plus you can tune your guitar in a noisy environment. Whether or not you're tone deaf a clip-n tuner will work perfectly every time.
