Canada has decided to do away with the penny coin, saving taxpayers about $11
million a year and forcing retailers to round prices to the nearest nickel.
The Canadian government, which spends 1.6 cents to produce each penny, will
stop distributing them this fall because of the coin's low purchasing power.
Pennies can continue to be used as they are withdrawn from circulation, the
government said. Noncash payments on checks and credit cards will continue to
be rounded to the nearest cent. Business groups welcomed the move, which
follows other countries such as Australia, Brazil and Sweden, and economists
said it would have little impact on inflation.

Write a program that makes change for amounts less than a dollar. Input to the program should be a positive integer less than 100, representing the amount of a dollar, in cents. Output should be the original amount of money, together with a set of coins (quarters, dimes, nickels, cents (in this order), that could made up that amount. The program should produce change containing the minimum number of coins required for the given amount.
Sample Input: 58
Sample Output:
58 cents : 2 quarters 1 nickel 3 cents
rather than:
58 cents: 2 quarters 0 dimes 1 nickel 3 cents
Not knowing what programming language you are using, I can only provide how to do this and not the actual code.
1. Make variables to hold the amount of quarters, dimes, nickles and cents.
2. Get the input.
3. Check if the input (amount) is greater than 25. This will mean you need at least 1 quarter.
3.1. Find how many quarters with this code.
3.2. quarters = amount / 25;
3.3. Take the amount of quarters away from the amount, use either of the following codes.
3.4. amount = amount % 25;
3.5. amount = amount - (quarters * 25);
4. Then check for dimes and nickles in the same way as for checking for quarters.
5. Check if the amount is greater than 0. If so, then this is how many cents you have.
6. Then for the output, if the variable is 0, do not output that amount.
