Ron Moore, age wave and opportunity identification expert and speakerThe problems, opportunities, challenges and dilemma that we will face over the next 30+ years as a result of the convergence of demographic changes and other major trends will be mind-numbing – both in terms of quantity and complexity.

My intent here is to simply provide food for thought and places for you to begin your own exploration.

While the site is primarily for the benefit of participants in my course entitled “Opportunity Identification and an Aging Society” (Course # GRTY 691-902 at Virginia Commonwealth University), it is open to anyone interested in the impact of an aging society on business, institutions, government or individuals.

The site is a work-in-progress and will continue to develop and expand as the class progresses. Each week, I will add additional content that supports or relates to topics discussed or mentioned in class.

However, the implications of an aging society go far beyond the limited number of topics we will be able to cover in one course. Therefore, I will be adding a variety of research, articles, white papers, ideas, and links to other resources that may be of interest to those of you who wish to explore aspects of an aging society – and society’s response to the aging phenomenon - that go beyond the specific topics discussed in class.

Scan the list of "Topics" in the right column to find items of special interest. Check back frequently to see new topics and to find new postings to existing ones. Also, feel free to suggest new topic categories or additional content and links.

When you subscribe to receive email updates, notice of new content will come to your inbox or RSS feed reader.  What could be easier?  Of course, I hope you’ll return to the site every week to find additions to categories covered in class.

Check the “Blog” area of the site where I share my postulations and musings on the impact of this demographic tsunami we call the “age wave” along with other resources and contributions to this discussion.

To contribute, argue, debate, praise, provide feedback, or to simply acknowledge that you have been here, just use the “Comments” feature to add to the discussion or contact me directly.

Meanwhile, learn more about my expertise and credentials in the areas of opportunity identification, new venture creation and the implications of the age wave under the "About" tab.

Enjoy your visit.  Thanks for stopping by.
